Nike have given their hybrid P-6000 a ‘Premium Hemp’ makeover, draping the usually spacey sculpture with a sandy desert raider look. Even though the Northern Hemisphere is smack bang in the middle of winter, Nike have locked and loaded a spring-ready fatigue for fans of technical running shoes.

First landing in 2019, the futuristic shaped running shoe is an adaptation of Nike’s trusty and durable Pegasus line. The colourways have historically drawn from sci-fi iconography and while this extends to the newest iteration, Nike have expanded the P-6000 aesthetic, with this tooling being less Johnny Mnemonic and more Dune.

The pair is dressed in a mixture of 'Hemp', 'Sanddrift', and 'Phantom' shades, and the construction fuses open mesh, leather and suede. The upper sits on a foam midsole, providing lift for long-distance running while also providing support. In a finishing touch, the laces and Swoosh logos are imbued with 3M reflective details, which adds a desert mirage aesthetic to the colour scheme.

The Nike P-6000 'Premium Hemp' is due for release in the first quarter of 2024 at Nike and select outlets with a $120 price tag.
