The Latest Nike SB BRSB AKA Blue Ribbon SB Looks Familiar
skateboarding sub-line has continued to evolve over the years, creating new signature models and their own teched-out silhouettes built for epic treflips. The most recent addition to the catalogue has been given the moniker Blue Ribbon SB AKA BRSB and actually takes inspiration form the legendary Nike ! The name itself also pays homage to Nike's original name, they were actually called Blue Ribbon Sports in the beginning. A simple pair made rounds earlier this month and now the OG Cortez combo has covered the BRSB’s uppers.
The shape is very Cortez-esque, the eyestay panel features the same zig-zag, while the midsole has been accentuated with a herringbone pattern. The Swoosh along each side has been lowered and sits flush with the top of the midsole. The rear features alternating Nike and SB branded panels with mini Swoosh on the lateral toe box. Another ode to the Cortez is the nylon quarter and exposed midsole tech elements.
So far we haven’t received any word of a release date for the Cortez-inspired Nike BRSB but with the official images making the rounds, it won't be too far away.
