More Images! Nike SB Dunk Low 'BETRUE'
2022 marks the 10-year anniversary of BETRUE initiative, a pride-filled yearly collection that celebrates the boundless spirit of the LGBTQIA+ community. Pride Month isn't until June, but the Swoosh are clearly gearing up for the drop already as images of an 'BETRUE' sample have surfaced via .
Though BETRUE has been around for a full decade, this style marks the first time skate classic has been included in the initiative. Most BETRUE shoes are awash in colour to celebrate the hues of activist and artist Gilbert Baker's Pride flag, but this low-cut instead opts for a crisp white upper with plenty of colourful detailing.
Chief among these embellishments is a multi-coloured 'BETRUE' graphic embroidered on the lateral heel. There's also multi-colour contrast stitching around the Swoosh and on the heel's stitch lines. These heel stitch lines are wavy instead of straight, which could either be an intentional detail or a to-be-corrected mishap (remember, these are a sample pair!). There are also multi-coloured heel tabs, a rainbow gradient on the insole and middle segment of the outsole and a special tongue with unique details on both its outside and inside that surround a zipper-equipped stash pocket.
At the time of writing, a release date for the Nike SB Dunk Low 'BETRUE' has yet to be announced. However, it's likely to hit sneaker boutiques and skate shops come June, so keep it locked for more info as it's made available.
