Update February 21, 2022: A few weeks ago a bunch of hazy pics surfaced of a themed Nike SB Dunk Low dubbed the 'Cherry' and it's allegedly part of a larger 4/20 SB pack. Looking to drop this year, another fresh batch of on-foot images have surfaced from ! They've provided a better look at the materials and specialised details.
There's still been no word on an exact release date or any official confirmation from Team Swoosh, however we think they'll arrive in April just in time for the unofficial holiday dedicated to marijuana.
Images have emerged online of a supposed ‘Cherry’ sample that may be releasing later this year. Nicknamed as such because of its fruity motif on the inside of the tongues, it looks like this pair may be part of the same pack as the ‘Blueberry’ and ‘Pineapple’ pairs that have also been spotted as samples and early looks.
Coming via , these Dunks follow a similar material layout on the uppers. This sees suede overlays on the toe bumper, eye stays and heel counters meeting grainy leather inserts on the toe box, mid panel and ankle collar. The colour combination is similarly simple, with three shades of red used throughout.
Again, the aforementioned cherry detailing appears behind the tongue labels, exhibiting similar anthropomorphic traits like its supposed co-inhabitants in this pack. There are also some practical additions – this is a skate shoe after all – like the extra padding inside the ankle lining, and insoles that read ‘Air Zoom’.
Stay tuned to find out the fate of these SBs, which at the moment appear to just be samples, but could be indicative of a wider release in coming months.
