Bid On One of 10 eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low Tribute Packages!

Update December 7, 2022: eBay have announced their partnership with Nike SB on the Dunk. In tribute to the late Sandy Bodecker, who championed the brand’s revival, ten collector’s edition sets will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards the Bodecker Foundation. Each set contains a pair that references the original eBay Dunk that was sawn up, a brand new pair of the 2022 reissue and a commemorative saw. The auction runs until December 14. A wider release of the collaboration is expected to follow.

Big Nike SB news emerged a couple of weeks ago in the form of confirmation that the legendary ‘eBay’ Dunk Low was returning in 2022. While official brand channels are yet to reveal more on the revived remake, sneaker leakers are here to speed up the process with a potential first look at the pair. And, as it may turn out, it’s quite… unique.

For a bit of back story, the original ‘eBay’ Dunk gained notoriety as the sample pair was cut into multiple pieces. The original IG post announcing the new pair stated ‘We are putting the pieces back together’ – perhaps most didn’t anticipate how literal that sentence was. This leaked pair, as shared by @woganwodeyang, depicts a Dunk cut into four pieces, with the separate patent leather chunks linked by clear strips, almost resembling a sneaker accordion.

What’s also worth noting is that this colourway is a completely new creation. It still uses the red, blue, yellow, and green of the eBay logo, but the panels are arranged differently to the original version. This pair also introduces clear outsoles. Furthermore, a Nike ‘pinwheel’ logo can be seen on the insole heel, signifying there is likely a recycled component to the shoes.

The emergence of this leaked pair suggests there are, at this stage, at least two colourways of the eBay x Nike SB Dunk.
