The Nike Terminator originally arrived in 1983. The first sneaker Nike ever produced for a college basketball team (the Georgetown Hoyas), the model kickstarted the legendary ‘Be True’ campaign with the Dunks in 1985.

Recently resurrected for SS23 by Rei Kawakubo’s hype machine Comme des Garçons, the silhouette has been on a long hiatus since 2014 – the last time the Beaverton brand retro’d the model.

Teased in a suite of colourways in recent months, the latest model to arrive is replete with the classic ‘Game Royal’ palette and imbued with Kentucky panache. Manufactured in a mix of leather and mesh, the two-tone design features rubber outsoles and bold Nike branding on the heels.

Check out the official images via the carousel above, and look for the Nike Terminator High ‘Game Royal’ to arrive over the coming weeks at Nike and select retailers.
