Sneaker Queen Compares the Nike Terminator ‘Georgetown’ 1985 OG and 2022 Retro

Sneaker Queen, a Berlin-based collector and friend of Sneaker Freaker, has posted a comparison between the recent Nike Terminator ‘Georgetown’ reissue and an original example from 1985. The side-by-side pics are rather telling of the changed details, something that is clearly pointed out in the comment section of Sneaker Queen’s Instagram post.

In her own words, ‘one of my most favourite shoes could have been excellent with a better choice of leather and a bit more concern for original shapes, but is a good alternative for anyone not owning the OG’.

The sentiment is more strongly expressed by commenters, who largely agree that the toe shape on the 2022 edition is something of a dealbreaker. Another altered detail is the size of the ‘NIKE’ text on the heel, which is comparatively smaller on the retro when placed next to the OG.

In spite of all this, it‘s been a while since Nike reissued the ‘Georgetown’, so keen sneakerheads should pick up a pair before they’re gone.
