The Nike Terminator High Throwback Dons a Blue Suede Varsity Jacket

In the last couple years, Nike have dusted off the throwback Terminator High and imbued it with a bevy of modern colourways and treatments. Most recently, they paid tribute to Spelman College with their own colourway of the old school hooping shoe, and now they’ve continued the vintage college vibes with a ‘Blue Suede’ fit out.

Veering adrift from the original silhouette’s strictly leather tooling, this iteration drapes a light blue suede base over the upper, contrasted by a dark navy leather overlay coating the mudguard, heel and eyestays. The blue tones are juxtaposed against the milky Swoosh and midsole, along with the yellow stitching and a dark outsole. Adding a fleck of extra warmth is a sizzling orange on the heel tab and tongue’s Nike branding. The overall aesthetic recalls the model’s college basketball roots while painting it with modern brushstrokes.

There is currently no release date set for the Nike Terminator High ‘Blue Suede’, but it’s expected to drop in 2024 with a $125 price tag.
