A$AP Bari Reveals Sustainably-Constructed Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Sample
With the blessing of his wife Shannon Abloh, colabs with through his label are set to begin rolling out again — but there are still plenty of unknowns surrounding the future of the line. The is slated to release this upcoming weekend, and the has been rumoured for a May release, but beyond that lovers of Abloh's work are unsure what the future holds. However, we've got an inkling of what might be coming later in the year as A$AP Bari has revealed an unreleased Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 sample.
Posted on Bari's Instagram Story, the low-cut looks like much more of a concept than a fully fleshed-out pair that's ready for a retail release. Its upper is fully constructed of what appears to be recycled Nike Grind foam, and is accented with black contrast stitching and the dual-lace detailing that was popularised on Abloh's and colabs, secured to the upper by small silver pins. The midsole and outsole are also made of an interesting flecked material that may be Nike's Crater Foam.
Bari's post was rather opaque, stating simply '@nike you better do right by my brother' and '@virgilabloh.' Maybe he's pushing for a release or maybe he knows something we don't, but in an ironic twist, the A$AP Mob co-founder was actually with Nike in 2017.
