Where to Buy Both Pairs of the Off-White x Air Jordan 2s
Everybody’s been waiting for the release of the x and finally – after major delays – recent collaboration with is preparing to touch down.
We first caught wind of the colab around mid-year, with a bunch of circulating the internet. Two colourways surfaced, one in Black/Varsity Royal and another in White/Varsity Red, both with unique features. Originally releasing in 1986, the Air Jordan 2 brought a luxurious feel to signature line. With the model turning 36 this year, Abloh wanted to pay homage and posed the question: what would the AJ2 look like if it was pulled directly from a time capsule? For the first time ever Team Swoosh scanned and reverse engineered an original pair worn by MJ himself and attempted a recreation.
Of course, if it was actually from the 80s, the midsoles would be completely crumbled, so Abloh attempted to recreate that look artificially – and as no two midsoles crumble the same way – the right and left will feature mismatched cracking. Elsewhere, all the usual Off-White collaborative detailing is in place, such as zip-tie, specialised medial branding and exposed foam. Adding to the vintage vibe is MJ’s signature across the lateral.
Both pairs have whet the appetite of fans around the globe. They’re sure to be hard shoes to cop, so consult our detailed Where to Buy guide down below for your best chance at getting that sweet W. They're scheduled to release on November 12.
