Official Pics: The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 'University Gold'
First earlier this year, the x ‘University Gold’ has garnered plenty of suitors since. upcoming sneaker collaboration with the Swoosh has featured heavily on our feeds, with plenty of questionable leaked pics appearing ahead of its imminent drop. However, some of that speculation has been cleared up with the arrival of official imagery from Beaverton, which shows off all the familiar Virgil-isms.
Rumoured to be part of Abloh’s ‘Figures of Speech’ exhibit at ICA Boston, this colourway will likely be a follow-up to 2019’s uber-rare . In turn, it wears a similar aesthetic, but arrives with ‘University Gold’ all over, as opposed to blue. The leather upper is split by a metallic silver Swoosh, stitched on with black thread. Meanwhile, all the familiar Off-White features are there: a pinned yellow fabric tab, stamped Off-White branding, a yellow plastic zip tie, exposed foam tongue construction with an off-centre tag, co-branded insoles, and a bold black ‘AIR’ printed text on the midsole near the AF-1’s traditional branding.
There are still no official release details for the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘University Gold’, but expect details to emerge closer to Abloh’s exhibition at ICA Boston on July 3. Don’t expect these to be an easy cop – the MCA Chicago pair was spotted on the feet of museum staff, with other pairs few and far between.
