On-Foot Look: The Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk

For anyone who can't get enough of Nike SB Dunk colabs, we've got another one for you: the punk-inspired Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk.

The mind behind the design, graphic designer and founder of Girls Don't Cry and Wasted Youth, Verdy, is no stranger to coveted Dunk colabs, having designed 2019's Girls Don't Cry iteration.

2021 sees the streetwear stalwart return with a darker take on the silhouette that delivers those angsty punk vibes in spades. Offering the appropriate DIY aesthetic, the upper is patched together with dark denim, while black leather panels ensure these will hold their own in the moshpit. Feature stitching on the heel and Swoosh bumps up the home job feel.

Thanks to the dark upper, the detailing really stands out, most notably the medial-side embroidered rose that envelopes the Swoosh’s tail end. Elsewhere, the heel is adorned with ‘Wasted’ and ‘Youth’ on the left and right sides, while a D-ring pull tab caps off the theme.
