On Your Bike, Nike: the SuperRep Cycle

Nike’s new indoor cycling shoe, the SuperRep Cycle, was previewed a few months ago at the launch of the revamped SuperRep fitness line. This is the first cycling-specific shoe from the Swoosh in almost 10 years.

There has been a massive spike in indoor cycling participation in recent months, so Nike’s serendipitous spin shoe couldn’t come at a better time. It has all the hardware required to work with two- and three-bolt cleat standards, and has actually been designed with the rider in mind. Velcro straps, vents galore, and modern branding are a farcry from the ungainly cycling shoes of the past. While they’re indoor-specific, it’ll be hard to resist the urge to take them onto the road!

Sneaker Freaker’s resident lycra lout is very excited, as the official release date edges closer. Euro cyclists should start seeing them at select Nike retailers, but the rest of the world will be able to click-clack their cleats on June 1.
