Update February 25, 2024: OTW by Vans is kicking off in 2024 by unveiling their inaugural season 1 collection. An exact release date hasn't been locked in as of yet, but apparel and footwear will begin to roll out over the coming months.
are kicking off their new OTW By Vans category by installing an epic skate pop-up near the banks of the Seine in Paris. OTW By Vans is the next phase of the brand’s premium category formerly known as Vault By Vans. The refresh comes after the sub-label ticked over 20 years of operation.
The installation is situated near the Seine at Pont Alexandre III with the Eiffel Tower within eyesight. It’s inspired by Paris’ rich architecture and blends one of Vans’ most iconic motifs – the checkerboard pattern – onto clear elements such as the ramps and walls.
‘We chose to introduce OTW by Vans in Paris, the global style capital with a deep history and community in skateboarding,’ explains Ian Ginoza, Vice President, Creative Direction for Pinnacle at Vans. ‘Skateboarding’s influence on the style and fashion conversation is organically going on every day and we’re here on the banks of the Seine, with the world’s best skateboarders, to bring the inspiration off of mood boards and runways to the people of Paris and beyond.’
Of course, the installation will be open to visitors to skate. Open sessions are available throughout the pop-up from June 23 and 24. There will also be an after-party on June 24, which can be RSVP’d to via the link below.
OTW By Vans has already rolled out, with the former Vault By Vans Instagram page archiving all of its posts and the handle changed to the new identity. Collaborations with the likes of Sterling Ruby as previewed above are in the works, and more is definitely on the way.
