Release Date: Palace x Salomon XT-Wings 2

Update August 28, 2023: Palace Skateboards has released photos of their upcoming Salomon XT-Wings 2 collaboration in two tonal colourways, black and white. The only pop of colour is seen on the XT-Wings 2 strip down the tongue, as the mesh upper uses its shiny heat-pressed overlays to bring some contrast to the sneaker. The Palace Tri-Ferg is seen on the heel with Salomon branding on the medial and lateral sides in silver and the lugged Contragrip outsole features a marbled pattern to finish off the sneaker.

The Palace x Salomon XT-Wings 2 is set to drop on September 1, 2023, on the US/UK Palace webstore with Japan and China getting them a day later on September 2, 2023.

London-based streetwear stalwarts Palace have doubled down on their sneaker collaborations in 2023, blessing the world with their wild colourways on fan-favourite models. Next up, they’re back with Salomon for another two-shoe colab, following the announcement of the indulgent McDonald’s linkup.

This won’t be the duo’s first collaborative affair, as they’ve worked on models such as the XA Comp ADV and XT-6, both kitted out in colourful combos. For their latest, the pair have decide to tone it down with simplistic monochromatic tones and subtle Palace branding and special details.

An announcement came in the form of a teaser via Palace’s Instagram Story, showcasing black and white iterations of what looks like the XT-Wings 2. They haven’t confirmed that this will be the model, and the pairs only flash on screen briefly; however, the heels match up. Salomon have also been pushing their XT-Wings silhouette through collaborations with JJJJound and END., so another high-profile iteration would make sense.
