Patta Rumoured to Collaborate on Nike Air Max 1 in 2024

Dutch tastemakers Patta are certainly no strangers to the collaborative field. Over the course of their storied 20-year tenure, the hip hop-loving label have launched everything from the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Homegrown’ to the history-making ASICS GEL-Lyte III in 2007.

In 2021, Patta launched their latest version of the Air Max 1, a brand new edition emblazoned with eye-catching wavy mudguards. Since then, a flurry of colourways followed, with the ‘Rush Maroon’ version even gracing the cover of Sneaker Freaker Issue 46! It looks like more good news is on the way for fans of the Dutch hitmakers, with rumours that the label will be working on the silhouette again in 2024.

Of course, Patta have a long relationship with Air Max. It all started in 2006 with the Patta x Air Max ‘Homegrown’, a clear homage to Amsterdam’s weed culture. From there, we also saw the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘5th’ Anniversary in 2009, as well as the ‘Purple Denim’, ‘Denim’, ‘Lucky Green’, and ‘Chlorophyll’ all going down in history as some of the best Air Max 1s to ever hit the shelves.

Let’s also not forget the Patta x Nike Air Max 95/90 in 2018 and this year’s epic Air Max Plus collaboration with Barcelona FC!

So, where will 2024’s edition stack up? Well, only time will tell.
