Patta Present the Nike Air Max 1 'The Next Wave' and Patta Academy Mentorship Program

Update August 9: Patta have officially announced their latest Nike Air Max collaboration, which represents the sequel to 'The Wave' collection from 2021. Appropriately named 'The Next Wave', this colab also kicks off a two-day mentorship program at the Nike SHAPA Soweto community centre in Johannesburg.
'SHAPA serves as a safe space for the next generation of athletes and leaders. By bringing an exchange via the Patta Academy, we are thrilled to collaborate and connect with some of the brightest kids on the African continent through SHAPA,' says Gee Schmidt, co-founder of Patta.
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 'The Next Wave' will release on August 12 from Patta and Nike.
Update July 22, 2022: Official images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 in 'Brown/Burnt Orange' have been revealed! Update July 14, 2022: After Patta co-founder Guillaume 'Gee' Schmidt first teased his brand/store's Nike Air Max 1 'Wave' colab in 'Brown/Burnt Orange' back in May, we now have another look at the forthcoming drop! Revealed by Patta Milan employee , the new images provide another look at the shoe's rich colourblocking and also serve up a glimpse at the packaging. A release date has yet to be announced.
In 2021 it seemed everyone wanted to ride wave! The Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary brand shook the sneakersphere to its core with a new take on legendary . Debuting in a colourway which stirred plenty of hype, they added fuel to the fire with , (which appeared on the cover of SF !) and a simple colourway. Did you think Patta was done? Of course not! Co-founder Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt has taken to Instagram to share a brand new colourway.
Patta has a of collaborations, actually creating some of the of all time! Their latest ventures have seen them change the tooling ever so slightly, altering the mudguard to feature a wavy look. This new colourway chooses a burnt orange leather to cascade over the grey mesh. Interestingly, it features a purple liner and looks like a colourway flip of the ‘Rush Maroon’. Patta have made their mark on the co-branded tongue and no doubt this pair will arrive with a specialised bracelet and graphic box too.
