Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton SS25 Collection Unified the World
, the multi-hyphenate creative who seems to have a finger in every pie, debuted his highly anticipated Louis Vuitton show this past Tuesday. As usual, were on the ground, bringing you everything to know about the sneakers shown!
Helping kick off the Paris leg of Men’s, the creative polymath’s collection will no doubt be the most talked about of the season, thanks to celebrity co-signs and larger than life soundtrack and set. Through the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Pharrell showed his ability at being hyper aware of what’s happening in zeitgeist, bridging the gaps between high-fashion and pop culture at large.
The talented producer tapped into an array of gargantuan events like the upcoming and UEFA European Championship for inspiration, while also looking to Vuitton’s long history in the travel space and fierce worldwide presence. Event invites came through in the form of an Apple AirTag holder, with the Maison de l’UNESCO building setting the stage for the event, as it serves as the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. Similarly to his from this time last year, humanitarian unity was a common theme. In a press release, LV have said their latest men’s collection 'celebrates the humans that co-inhabit the Earth. Zooming out on the planet we call home, it portrays our kind from a solar perspective, humbling in breadth and harmonising in force’.
The show was titled Le monde est á Vous, which loosely translates in English to ‘The World Is Your Oyster’. The back drop was fittingly flooded with flags from across the world, and the entire collection illustrated unity through the use of tones that represent a range of skin colours. This was further cemented through the show movie that imagined what foreign diplomats would look like as children. For Spring/Summer 2025, Pharrell enlisted Air Afrique, an African-French collective that takes inspiration from the defunct airline of the same name. Their members, Lamine Diaoune, Djiby Kebe, Jeremy Konko and Ahmadou-Bamba Thiam, collaborated on various pieces of ready-to-wear, using their signature tartan details, alongside a Damier print tartan that is informed by the original Air Afrique trunks. The collective also collaborated on various travel-inspired logos.
On the sneaker front, Pharrell opted for quality over quantity, coming through with the LV Footprint Soccer as the highlight silhouette. The familiar design pulls from authentic football boots – perfectly timed around the current UEFA European Championship. The outsole below boasts a footprint motif, with Vuitton branding throughout the upper. In among the sea of men’s Mary Janes, Chelsea and cowboy boots was the epic LV Bowling Shoe constructed using napa leather and rubberised outsole. This comes off a recent surge in bowling-inspired sneakers from the likes of . Another pair that caught our eye is the Louis Vuitton Snow Boot, which infused the brand’s signature Damier monogram and camouflage making for a unique ‘Damoflage’ vibe.
Rounding out the show, Pharrell walked the runway thanking many people, including his close friend .
