Get The Money Up! POSSESHOT and Nike Celebrated Air Max Month Reppin’ the Dn8

Possehot Nike Big City Earnerz Event

This year's Air Max Month is one for the Aussie history books! To celebrate, enlisted quintessential Melbourne rap crew POSSESHOT to not only host one hell of a party, but also launch a video game steeped in Melbourne lore. This was all to debut the latest iteration in Dynamic Air dubbed the – a worthy addition to the Air Max franchise.

The event attracted Adlays from all across Burn City, who descended on the secret car park location. Melbourne Bitter was flowing, POSSECHOP hoagies were inhaled, and high-octane Aussie rap set the scene for the debut of BIG CITY EARNERZ: Last Lad Left. KHA and Muscles, the duo behind POSSESHOT, worked with Nike on the sequel to BIG CITY EARNERZ that first arrived on the app store back in 2015. Running rampant on the virtual streets was the Dn8, and attendees may have even spotted the Sneaker Freaker easter eggs.

First in to test the game was the giveaway winner @aubensattire – a Melbourne local who’s more than familiar with Nike’s Big Bubble catalogue. Rolling up with his crew, they took to the arcade machines straight away. KHA and Muscles also jumped on for some co-op action before the hectic party kicked off.

POSSESHOT hit the stage once the sun set and told stories of their early Air Max experiences and the legendary Nike Smith Street outlet in Collingwood. They also shouted out artists who influenced their style, before bringing them on stage. First up were the Smash Brothers, that included rappers DIEM, Fraksha and Scotty Minister, who moved the crowd with their AU Grime flow. Second was Melbs legend TORNTS, who POSSESHOT said was the first person they had seen rocking TNs. Finally, KHA and Muscles were up for the main event. They had the audience sweatier than an afternoon spent painting trains and were spitting crowd favourite tracks like ‘Bad For Your Health’. They did all this while rocking eye-catching colourways of the Air Max Dn8. Nike's eight-bubbled bad boy stood out in the wash of TNs, Air Max 90s and Air Max 95s worn by punters.

Big ups to Nike and POSSESHOT – this event had Melbourne geed up for Air Max Month. BIG CITY EARNERZ: Last Lad Left can be played right now! Find out how and keep your eyes peeled for more from the partnership between the two.
