Check Out Ray Allen’s Alternate Air Jordan 13 PE
If there was a Mount Rushmore of athletes with the best PEs, face would be etched in stone on it. Over the course of his Hall of Fame career, Allen hit the hardwood in special player edition versions of classics like the , and while also donning latter-day models like the Air Jordan 20, Air Jordan 21 and Air Jordan 28. Jordan Brand even made him a when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018!
All those footwear accolades aside, Allen's most-known pair of PEs might be his in Boston Celtics white and green, an exclusive style that – unlike the other pairs on this list – actually saw an ultra-limited release at House of Hoops in 2011. Now, via , we've got a look at an alternate Air Jordan 13 PE that was made for Allen: a black and green style.
Rocked by Sugar Ray in a 2012 context against the Cleveland Cavaliers, these PEs repurpose the classic colourblocking of the to include Celtics green. The textured black upper with pops of hi-vis reflective material remains intact, as do the tumbled leather toeboxes and tongues. However, the red suede of Bulls is swapped out for green suede on the midsoles and heels. Holographic badges return on each collar, and a finishing touch of detail is provided by Allen's sweet-shooting PE logo embroidered on the tongue in place of a Jumpman.
As this is a decade-old PE that was made exclusively for Sugar Ray, it won't see a retail release, but you can enjoy it in full above.
