‘Red October’ Air Yeezy 2s Allegedly ‘Lost’ at StockX Authentication Facility
Mailing mishaps aren’t uncommon, but a UK-based sneakerhead is claiming to have suffered one of the worst cases of a ‘lost’ package we’ve ever seen. Going by on Twitter, the individual in question allegedly sent off a DS pair of sought-after ‘Red October’ to for authentication following a sale. However, two weeks after receiving the package, StockX are claiming that no pair of the ‘Red October’ was received, with a ‘random pair’ found in the package instead.
Refuting StockX’s response, san_nimat says that this situation is ‘impossible’, and questioned why the online marketplace’s response took two weeks, suggesting communication should’ve been made much sooner had the ‘Red October’ pair not been received.
Following the Tweet, Sneaker Freaker approached StockX for comment, with no response received yet.
Screenshots of the email correspondence can be found below.
As you’d expect, san_nimat has suggested that the situation is ‘very fishy’, stating that the ‘random pair’ would’ve been photographed and sent back if there was legitimately an issue with the authenticity. At this point, he has chosen to point the finger at a StockX staff member for potentially losing the coveted pair.
At present, a pair of ‘Red Octobers’ on the secondary market will cost you anywhere between $5000 and $15,000, depending on the condition.
