Reebok Founder Joe Foster Narrates amongst few’s New Club C Collaboration
Dubai boutique amongst few have announced a new collaboration with the . While congratulations are in order – the shoes are pretty nice too – let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact they got Joe Foster to narrate the promo video!
For the uninitiated, Joe Foster founded Reebok with his brother Jeff back in 1958. While he’s been retired for a while now, he penned a tell-all memoir, , about how he helped turn a small British shoe company into one of the world’s biggest brands.
Back to the amongst few shoes. They may look like an all-white Club C but, as the brief video reveals, they’re chock-full of details. Starting from the bottom, the soles are iced-out, with the amongst us text logo printed underneath. The brand name appears again on the lateral grosgrain window – a creative privilege afforded to few collaborators. It shows up as English on the right shoe and Arabic on the left. The store’s heritage is again found on the heel counter logos, and the insoles are finished with a rug-inspired pattern. The premium leather is broken up momentarily by the open-seam padded nylon tongue and terry cloth lining.
As Foster states in the video, ‘C stands for champion’ – this colab is for sure a winner. Stay tuned for release details.
