Resellers Forced to Wear Parra x Nike Air Max 1s Out of Stores

Nike Air Max 1 Parra 1

Resellers who bought from Berlin over the weekend were hit with a problem: none of them would be able to sell the sneakers as ‘deadstock’. Patrons were made to wear their purchased pairs out of the store in order to ensure they didn’t try rinse anyone for a quick buck.

The solution didn’t thwart resellers, but it did have some hilarious results. Profiteering punters tried to ‘wear’ the shoes in the vaguest sense of the word, sticking their toes in and shuffling out the door. Others wore them out and were filmed frantically trying to clean the outsoles and recoup their losses.

Sneaker artist Laro Lagosta was quick to illustrate the ridiculous attempts, while others collated the most bizarre street-cleanings and toe-shuffling of the day.

If all this saddens you, check out how Parra's colab is inspiring epic sneaker art here.
