RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1s Including Takashi Murakami Colab Forge This Week
Web3 company and are beginning to roll out the ‘forging’ event for their collaborative collection. In layman’s terms, this means holders of relevant digital collectibles can redeem physical sneakers during a limited window of time. There are 10 different designs up for grabs – including a couple from renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
Murakami will have two eponymous editions, ‘Murakami Drip’ and ‘Murakami DNA’, which will be limited to 4182 and 167 units respectively. Both colourways are built on all-white bases decorated in the artist’s vibrant graphics. Being part of the RTFKT collection means these AF-1s display RTFKT’s logo on the medial side instead of a Swoosh.
The remaining RTFKT styles vary in quantity, from 1776 to 60 units. Each of the eight variants use unique combinations of materials and textures, including ripstop nylon, pebbled leather and canvas. The colours are as simple as ‘Bred’ to lucid neon yellow and orange.
