Salehe Bembury Goes All Out on the ANTA SB-01 and SB-02
If you’ve read our piece, then you’ll know that we’ve been happy to see the talented Salehe Bembury receive not one, but two solo collaborations this year. After cutting his teeth at , the sneaker designer was then tapped by to drop an ultra-successful 2002R. Now, he has been approached by Chinese brand ANTA to work on two silhouettes in a slew of colourways.
Both technical and insanely loud, the first silhouette is dubbed the SB-01 and has been decked out with a two-layer design. The base has been made of a knitted material which acts like a sock encasing the wearer’s foot with the second layer made of both neoprene and TPE to offer added protection. The cool thing about this is that it can be rocked as one solid unit, or separated for a streamlined vibe.
The second silhouette, although not as loud as the previous, is still beastly AF. This one has been given the SB-02 moniker, and has been the shoe that Bembury has been teasing all over the Internet. A low-top silhouette, it features enlarged laces and a sole unit with rugged tabs below to give off a futuristic hiking aesthetic. The main feature of this shoe is the price tag, which is only $100.
Both the Salehe Bembury x ANTA SB-01 and SB-02 don’t have a release date just yet, but we’ll keep you updated when official word surfaces.
