Sneak Peek: Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 ‘Olive’ Sample
has had another seismic year in 2020, the master collaborator linking up with the likes of Epic’s hugely popular Fortnite video game and fast food giant McDonald’s.
Still, it’s La Flame’s sneaker energy that continues to enamour fans around the globe, Scott’s and considered some of the gnarliest sneaker designs in recent years.
Originally released in 2018, Travis Scott’s Houston Oilers–inspired became more lucrative than oil itself, the design of course paying homage to Scott’s former hometown NFL team. Shortly after the drop, we were treated to Friends and Family editions of the colourways, as well as two PEs (olive and purple colourways) that quickly entered sneaker lore.
We’ve now got our first look at another Travis Scott masterpiece, a sample version of the ‘Olive’ pair with no tortoiseshell detailing on the top or bottom eyestays.
Other than this notable absence, the rest of the sneaker stays true to the original ‘Olive’ colourway. Beautiful olive green nubuck uppers are accented by inky black detailing, while suede tongue badges, netted overlays, and subtle co-branding on the heel complete the design.
