Over $200K Worth of Sneakers Were Stolen From Train

Thieves are going to great lengths to steal limited sneakers especially from and , with the latest brazen heist going down near the Mojave Desert in California. It’s alleged that the thieves broke into a train container, stealing almost 900 pairs of sneakers, which included the ultra-hype . Following the stolen footwear, California Highway Patrol tracked a U-Haul truck to Anaheim, California where seven individuals were arrested. Luckily the sneakers were unharmed, but all suspects were charged with felony grand theft of cargo and are currently held at Orange County Jail awaiting trial.

Sneakers have become a hot commodity for thieves due to ever-growing resale value, and they've demonstrated they’ll go to great lengths to acquire them. Limited Jordan Brand and Nike releases have been a particular target, with the most high profile robbery in recent memory taking place at team Swoosh’s biggest distribution centre in Memphis. Over twenty containers were broken into, with thieves making away with around $800,000 worth of product. at retailers have also been a problem and have been affecting local sneaker spots.
