Legendary Sneaker Retailer Sneakersnstuff Files for Bankruptcy

It’s a sad day for the sneakersphere, as legendary retailer have filed for bankruptcy. In a huge blow to the indie sneaker scene, the Sweden-born retailer announced the temporary closure of their Stockholm store after also shutting down their US and Tokyo locations over the past couple of years.

Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, founder Peter Jansson offered a hopeful glimpse into the brand’s future, confirming that only the store’s Swedish outlet was affected so far.

‘Thanks for all the support from our staff, customers, suppliers and collaboration partners during these 26 years!' he said. 'Despite the struggle the last couple of years, it’s been an amazing journey. We’ve come a long way in the restructuring of SNS and I really believe in our new business plan. In combination with a reset from the bankruptcy, I hope SNS will be able to continue this journey.’

Since setting up shop in Stockholm in 1999, SNS have become a real industry powerhouse. They turned up the heat for some legendary sneaker drops, have always championed their community and designed plenty of fire .
