Sports Illustrated Announce Their NBA Sneaker Award Winners for 2018-19
As the NBA Playoffs approach an epic conclusion, Sports Illustrated have announced the winners of their annual NBA Sneaker Awards. In a year where accustomed brands have , it was some familiar names that picked up accolades for their heat on feet.
Curated by SI’s basketball division, , the awards’ big gong went to none other than PJ Tucker (of course!), who came away with MVP honours.
‘While he’s more of a role player than a star, his sneaker profile indicates how much of an influencer he really is and how much sneaker culture matters in the league,’ explains The Crossover. ‘A guy of Tucker’s capabilities wouldn’t have been as popular in the past, and he deserves credit for completely owning it now.’
