The Video Music Awards are just as much about the red carpet fashion as they are about the trophies. While Kendrick Lamar dominated the awards show, several other stars made their sartorial mark on the VMAs carpet. Here, we take a look at some of the best sneaker moments to come out of this weekend’s much-hyped MTV event.
LORDE
Lorde was so ill with the flu in the lead up to the VMAs that she needed IV medication, and perhaps that drip gave her the courage to mix and adidas on the awards stage. The singer performed in adidas Originals Superstars, which she paired with a unique Jourden x Nike Air VaporMax dress. Jourden’s lead designer that the dress aimed to combine “femininity with the ultra sleek design of the Nike VaporMax.”
KENDRICK LAMAR
In his first awards show appearance as , Kendrick opted for the Cortez Shark Low. Like a true shark, Kung Fu Kenny snapped up six of the eight awards for which he was nominated.
