Stefon Diggs Shares a Closer Look at His Friends and Family ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10.1

After debuting early in the day at the show, we were able to get up close and personal with the style at the pop-up, where it was revealed that NFL player would be getting his own Friends and Family version of the sneaker.

An evolution of ASICS GEL-Nimbus line, the 10.1 features an asymmetric toebox detail among the family’s usual meshy construction. Diggs’s pair follows the same format, but features grid-printed underlays that come coated with a fine mesh on top. Purple-toned iridescent accents hit the tongue and heel tabs, which set the stage for the F&F-specific details. Here, the word ‘Family’ hits the tongue on the right sneaker, while GEL-Nimbus 10 branding hits the left. The pairs also features two beaded chains at the heels, with one spelling out ‘family’ and the other ‘friends’. Diggs explained the concept over on the ‘Gram, saying: ‘This moment for me is truly special, I have to give a huge shoutout to @asics for allowing me to truly express myself with my first signature shoe. This just feels right on many levels, designing my own shoe was truly gratifying. I really leaned in on family and my brothers being my biggest motivators growing up.’

The shoe was confirmed to be a Friends and Family exclusive at the Fashion Week Pop-Up, but the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 silhouette is expected to hit shelves very soon.
