Subtype Augment Auckland’s Sneaker Scene

Subtype have expanded their antipodean operations by launching a swish new flagship in Auckland, New Zealand. Housed in the Westfield Newmarket shopping hub, an all-new sneaker and streetwear experience has hit the North Island.

This custom space taps into Auckland’s vibrant blue backdrop, set against the minimalist industrial aesthetic of Subtype’s Melbourne sister store. Polished concrete and metal set the rock-solid foundations for a wall-to-wall sneaker gallery, massive digital screens, and rotating brand activation spaces.

The Trans-Tasman crossing brings exclusive brands to NZ, like A-COLD-WALL*, Li-Ning, and Salomon S/LAB. Subtype will also be the plug for sneakerhead staples like New Balance, Nike Quickstrikes, and those coveted adidas Yeezy releases.
