Supreme Set to Open New Store in West Hollywood
Streetwear behemoth are reportedly set to open a new store in West Hollywood, the New York imprint eyeing the former Tower Records building on Sunset Boulevard. Construction is expected to begin in February/March, with doors opening in summer 2022 (sometime around August).
The new single-storey building has caused concerns for local citizens of West Hollywood, the West Hollywood Heights Residents Association already taking Zoom calls with West Rubenstein, Senior Vice President of Supreme, to discuss the impact of flash mobs and traffic.
‘We don’t do pop-ups, we don’t do flash mobs, we don’t allow people to camp in our space over night. We have a pretty developed system of allowing people to make appointments,’ said Rubenstein.
The store is set to be Supreme’s second retail outpost in Los Angeles, the other located on Fairfax Avenue.
It’s been a big few years for the Supreme brand, with VF Corp recently the company for $2.1 billion.
