Swish! Kanye West's adidas Yeezy YZY BSKTBL KNIT 3D Debuts in 'Slate Blue'

Kanye West and adidas are expanding the Yeezy line's basketball offerings with a new silhouette dubbed the YZY BSKTBL KNIT 3D. Essentially a Yeezy QNTM with a new knit upper, the BSKTBL KNIT 3D is equal parts hoops and high fashion.

Though the BSKTBL KNIT 3D's BOOST-filled midsole and high-reaching heel counter are nearly identical to the QNTM, the upper is vastly different from anything Kanye and adidas have released previously. It's made of a textured 'Slate Blue' knit material (possibly Primeknit) and is reinforced with a tall black collar that uses a similar knit material, sans texture.

Kanye is a noted basketball fan who's frequently spotted courtside at NBA games and, besides the QNTM, his line has dipped its toes into the world of basketball footwear before: earlier in 2021, a Yeezy project with Derrick Rose dubbed 'YZY ROSE' was revealed by the New York Knicks point guard. Currently, there's no telling if the YZY BSKTBL KNIT 3D is part of an upcoming Yeezy basketball initiative, or a one-off silhouette made to serve as a simple successor to the QNTM, but we'll be sure to update you as soon as more information is made available.
