Take Another On-Foot Look at the Air Jordan 1 ‘University Blue’

Following a fairly long build up, the release of the  Air Jordan 1 ‘University Blue’ is almost here, so it’s the perfect time to take another on-foot look at what’s sure to be a hotly contested drop. Word first started circulating about this AJ1 back in October last year, then there were teaser pics, an interesting on-foot, and official images, ahead of the upcoming release on March 6. 

This latest view comes via yankeekicks on IG, who went with mismatching laces for something a little different. Like other on-foots we’ve seen, the blue looks darker in these pics than it does in the official images, but whether that’s a case of camera trickery or IG filter stunting remains to be seen.

This rendition of the legendary Air Jordan 1 continues the popular trend of Jordan Brand delivering new colourways via traditional colour-blocking, and then switching up the materials. This time, the ‘University Blue’ lands on brushed suede, and is contrasted with stark white leather panels and nylon tongues. Black provides the third accent colour, covering the ankle collar, laces, and Swoosh. Down below, a two-toned white and ‘University Blue’ midsole houses the all-important Air cushioning inside its rubber walls.
