Teddy Santis Announced as New Balance's Made in USA Creative Director
Teddy Santis has taken to Instagram over the weekend to announce he’ll be taking up a position as the Creative Director for iconic Made in USA division. He will begin his new role in 2022.
We can’t say we’re too surprised, Santis’ ALD and New Balance have meshed well over the past few years, with the two sharing similar aesthetic traits. He was also responsible for bringing back the , which first returned at the end of 2020, and is quickly becoming a staple in NB’s arsenal.
While he’s not heading up the whole of New Balance, Teddy Santis will be in charge of their Made in USA sub-line, which is focused on lifestyle. The sneakers are all constructed from at least 70 per cent American material, and are manufactured within one of NB’s factories in either Maine or Massachusetts.
While the details of Santis’ role and his exact undertakings are still yet to be shared, we’re expecting some major heat to come. Taken from his Instagram, he’s said: ‘Thank you to the NB team for trusting me with what I believe is the soul of the brand. I look forward to sharing more behind this campaign and what it represents for our partnership’.
