The Air Jordan 1 Low is Cool in Corduroy
The is definitively a staple of the assortment, with countless variants in its Low, Mid and High cut configurations. Occasionally toiling away in the shadow of its taller ankle siblings, it’s a timely reminder that the AJ1 Low can be desirable too. And cool material switches such as this corduroy-clad edition certainly make a strong case to go Low.
Corduroy is purely intended for lifestyle applications, which is what the AJ1 is used for these days, over 35 years since its game-changing debut on the hardwood. That being said, the suede and cord combo isn’t particularly conducive for keeping clean in a sporting situation, whether on the court or in the bleachers. Again, it’d be in the best interests to save this AJ1 for more sterile conditions.
But if push comes to shove, the AJ1 is still equipped with all the features that made it a GOAT on the hardwood and blacktop. Air soles come as standard and still deliver comfort, while the corduroy toe box is beneficially resistant to creasing – .
