With historic ties to Bordeaux and their headquarters and runway shows rooted in Paris, have an undeniable presence in the City of Lights, making the French capital the obvious choice for the Crocodile's latest activation – the Lacoste Lightclub. The brand transformed the famed Galeries Lafayette Anticipations into a living and breathing gallery-turned-nightclub as they celebrated the launch of the sneaker – the vibrant new model named after the sporting expression ‘shoot the lights out'.

As guests were ushered into the venue, they were immediately greeted with shelves of Neo Shots, showcasing the silhouette’s versatility through a spectrum of colour. To the left was a sunken stage area dubbed the Neo Shot Arena, with the space carved out to replicate a tennis court. Suspended Neo Shots lined the edges and were complemented with a huge screen displaying a dynamic dance in the desert. All of this was set against the pumping music of the warm-up DJ as the arena filled with anticipation.

Upstairs, the light show really got underway. Three darkened floors created the perfect atmosphere for guests to explore the power of light, as installations set against eerie atmospheric music provided a feast for the senses. Huge neon structures hung from the ceiling while others rose from the floor, each creating mind-bending projections that brought transformative new energy into the rooms. There was even an interactive lightbox, where guests were followed by ever-changing neon lines, as well as a multimedia piece that explored fluidity as a dancer in a lit-up tracksuit contorted in front of a distorted tennis court. Back in the arena, COLOURSxSTUDIOS curated artists took to the stage, with Smino, Sienna Spiro and Jolagreen23 treading the balance between soulful singing and more energetic rap, indulging us in the wider soundscape of the Lightclub experience. A DJ set by MARS88 carried the club's atmosphere into the night.

After we’d danced our way 'til dawn, the second day saw us create artwork of our own thanks to a workshop with Brian Tornay of Brillantine, who makes epic animations by video-mapping them against real sneakers. The Neo Shot played its starring role here as we made our way through various scenes to create our own campaign for the model, exploring its versatility via different colours and backgrounds.

For those who want to explore the silhouette for themselves, the L003 Neo Shot is available now. Stay tuned to Sneaker Freaker to learn more about the model.
