The Made for Skate x Nike SB ‘Panic Room’ is a Jaw-Dropping Skateboarding Shrine
Skate historians Skateboardmuseum have celebrated the launch of their new book – The Illustrated History of Skateboard Footwear by launching a special exhibit at the Stil Laden skate shop in Vienna, Austria. A special 360-degree installation, the ‘Panic Room’ is decorated with famous Nike SB ads and rider photos, as well as a print of all skated Nike SB sneakers from the MADE FOR SKATE archive.
The room also showcases and signatures models, including Grails such as the ‘What the Dunk’, , and a personally skated and hand-drawn model from Lance Mountain. Of course, all four MADE FOR SKATE x Nike SB collaborations are also housed in the room. Adding to the mix are original pre-Nike SB sneakers from the 70s all the way to the 90s, including skated Blazers and Air Jordans.
Nike SB and MADE FOR SKATE have a long history together, starting in 2003 with SB sponsoring the Skateboardmuseum. Similarly, Stil Laden also has a long relationship with Nike’s skate faction, famed for being one of the first Nike SB accounts in Europe.
If you’re in Vienna, be sure to pop by Stil Laden to take a look inside the ‘Panic Room’. All guests can also collect a special MFS x Stil Laden poster afterwards to remember their visit. Keep pushin’!
