Part of a series celebrating twenty years of board-breaking basketball designs, Nike have dug the Air Flight Huarache out of the vault, releasing a series of rare concept sketches that shed light on the development of this wetsuit wonder. Back in 1992 the Air Flight Huarache was the lightest basketball boot Nike had ever made... nothing even came close to resembling its skeletal, inside-out aesthetic. Led by Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar, a crack A-Team of designers took up the daunting task of translating the radical sock-like running shoe into a durable court dynamo.
