The Miller Lite x New Balance ‘Shoezie’ Could Be the Best Father’s Day Gift Yet
It seems that reports of the of the are greatly exaggerated, at least according to Miller Lite. The legendary brewers have teamed up with the forefathers of the Patriarchal Pair – – to release one of the wackiest sneaker-adjacent accessories yet: the ‘Shoezie’. Yeah, it’s a beer cosy (aka stubby holder for Antipodean readers) that’s modelled after the quintessential white and navy NB 624.
This is not a belated April Fools’ prank. Miller Lite and New Balance are actually aiming to release the ‘Shoezie’ on Father’s Day, which falls on June 20 in the USA and some other regions this year. There have actually been NB-branded beer holders before – notably the Sneaker Freaker x New Balance ‘Tassie Devil’ (not for sale!) – but this latest design looks pretty premium with leather, mesh, foam, and even a rubber base!
Deeper digging around the T&Cs reveals there will only be 50 units available, which will be attainable via raffle entry. While Miller Lite claim the Approximate Retail Value of the ‘Shoezie’ is a mere $30, odds are they’ll be worth much more on that popular online auction website.
Sorry, it looks like entries will only be accepted for ‘legal United States residents of Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Wisconsin’ who are at least 21 years old.
Entries open within hours, so keep handy, and set a reminder.
