The Nike Air Max 90 Rocks the Red, White and Blue
With an abundance of blue (da ba dee) colourways releasing over the three decades the classic model has been in circulation, ensure pairs are always kept fresh with a new addition to the stash.
Since 2020, AM90s have been manufactured using an updated silhouette, which means proportions and materials more accurate to the 1990 OG. This is clearly demonstrated here with the elongated Swoosh tail, which sits above the mudguard that has also had its taper modified. This points to a sharper toe bumper, creating an aesthetically pleasing acute angle.
The materials used are also a notch above previous years. Leather and mesh is an unquestioned combo here, and it’s coated in some bright blues for tonal simplicity. While a stark white Swoosh, laces, lining, heel tab, and midsole add straightforward contrast. And, as the Good Colourway Rulebook says, Nike have added a third accent colour in a hot shade of red – almost ‘Infrared’ – on the outsole tip and midsole Air unit highlight.
And perhaps the best part about this AM90 is that it will be a GR. So, it’ll just show up on a shelf at a sneaker store or website, ready to be copped. Keep an eye out for when that happens.
