The Oregon Ducks Air Jordan 7 PEs Are Well worth a Closer Look

The Oregon Ducks have unveiled two Air Jordan 7 PEs – one for the women’s team, and one for the men’s team. The Ducks took to IG earlier this week to share the exclusive renditions that will be worn in the upcoming Pac-12 Tournament (for the men) and NCAA Tournament (for the women).

After debuting back in 1992, the Air Jordan 7 now holds an interesting place in Jordan Brand history. It was the signature shoe that Jordan wore at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the tournament in which he led the star-studded Dream Team to a famous gold medal. Those games are often credited for completing Jordan’s ascension to global icon, after MJ predictably made the most of performing on the big international stage. Almost as though it had predicted that newfound worldwide fame, the AJ7 was actually the first Air Jordan silhouette to not feature any Nike branding on the exterior, and sparked the shift towards Jumpman models being marketed separately from Nike Basketball.

Sadly, for the average Joe or Josephine, these Oregon Ducks Air Jordan 7 PEs will not be available to the public, with only the team and staff members at the Ducks lucky enough to slip their feet into pairs. But it’s okay to dream every now and then... just don’t go green with envy.
