The Prada x adidas Forum Low is Back (In Black!)
Since A$AP Rocky posted a pair of on Instagram with a gleeful 'PRA-DI-DAS?' caption back in September, fans and aficionados alike have been anxiously awaiting more information on the colab kicks. That wait has paid off, as the Prada x adidas was recently unveiled in a second colourway: all black.
Seen in a set of Instagram photos from archive page/budding brand Hidden NY, these colab kicks aren't much for bright colours. However, what they lack in that department is made up for with bold details. The most notable of these embellishments is a bona fide mini Prada pouch placed atop each tongue, complete with badges, zippers and all!
Another interesting detail is the shoe's construction: it combines supple black leather with sporty nylon, a nod to two of Prada's signature materials. Special rubberized branding can be seen on each tongue, and what's not there is almost as notable as what is: the Forum Low's signature strap is nowhere to be found.
Prada and adidas have been working together since 2019. Apart from their efforts on the Forum, they've created with and crafted that take design cues from Prada's America's Cup shoe but add PRIMEGREEN and BOOST. This new chapter in their partnership has yet to recieve a release date, but we'll likely be seeing it either later this year or sometime in the early days of 2022.
