The Shoe Surgeon Reimagines the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1

Louis Vuitton and Nike have been a major player in the sneaker headlines over the past few months! Back in February, Sotheby’s auctioned 200 pairs of collaborative Air Force 1s designed by Virgil Abloh and more recently we heard that multiple pairs could be be released to the public, you can even peep a behind the scenes look at the opulent production process here! While everyone awaits the upcoming public release of the LV x Nike collection, The Shoe Surgeon has been whipping up his own version, and it’s been inspired by Kanye West’s iconic collaboration with the luxury brand.

This won’t be the first time that legendary sneaker customiser has dabbled in an LV x Nike crossover, back in March he tapped the Air Jordan 1 in both high and low form, taking materials from authentic bags. It’s looking like he’s done a similar thing for this latest AF-1, the upper boasts the iconic Damier print while the midsole is dressed in pink, an ode to Kanye’s collaborative Jasper and Mr Hudson from 2009. TSS has also included a Virgil Abloh homage, with “Air” scripted along the lateral midsole.

The Shoe Surgeon’s Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 will actually be available to purchase! He’s reportedly only created a small run of this pair but they’ll be available to purchase via his web store on Saturday 8AM PT.
