The Shoes That Sum Up Fyre Festival 2.0

fyre festival 2024

Well, well, well, you can add Fyre Festival 2.0 to your list of unexpected announcements of 2023 so far. Following the absolute disaster of the OG Fyre Festival in 2017, its founder, Billy McFarland, actually ended up in jail after he pleaded guilty to fraudulent wrongdoings. Fast forward nearly four years, and McFarland has been released from jail (reportedly last November) and has somehow come to the conclusion that what the world needs is a second round of Fyre Festival. ‘It has been the absolute wildest journey to get here,’ McFarland said in his announcement. ‘And it really all started during a seven-month stint in solitary confinement.’

Following the news, a pre-sale batch of tickets was released at the going rate of $499. The tickets didn’t move at first, but have now allegedly all sold out. With Fyre Festival 2.0 in the works for late 2024 – there’s still plenty of time for things to fall apart all over again. And of course, there’s still plenty of time for any potential punters to come to their senses and change their minds. To get into the spirit of things, we’ve curated a list of sneakers (and other shoes) that perfectly sum up what could be Fyre Festival 2.0. From the Crocs x MSCHF Big Yellow Boot to the NOCTA Swim Fins – you’ve been warned.
