The Sneaker Laundry are Helping Melbourne’s Homeless This Christmas – So Can You
Melbourne-based kick cleaning company, The Sneaker Laundry, are providing for the city’s homeless people by organising a donation drive for used shoes. A practice first started in 2017, they have since received over 200 pairs of pre-loved sneakers – but they’re aiming for 300. Once received, The Sneaker Laundry will clean and restore each pair before handing them out to those in need.
The Sneaker Laundry are partnering with local organisations Launch Housing, Frontyard Youth Services, and The Salvation Army to help deliver the donated and cleaned sneakers. The Melbourne City Council are also supporting this drive.
To help, drop off your sneakers at The Sneaker Laundry’s city store, located at 593 Little Lonsdale St, or any of their other spots .
