Analyst Names Top-Selling Sneakers for Q3

Sneaker Boxes Assorted 1500 Sneaker Freaker

The most valuable sneakers of Q3 have , but that’s the aftermarket. What about the sneakers doing numbers before making it into the hands of resellers?

To answer that, NPD analyst Matt Powell has returned to his Sneakernomics column to brief us on the last few months of sneakers. As he tells it, the US’s athletic footwear industry enjoyed a four per cent bump. Strong contributors to the increase were lifestyle and women’s models — the latter of which Powell say boil down to ‘stellar Vans sales’.

Performance footwear, however, isn’t living up to its name — dropping for the fourth year in a row. Industry titans like Nike, adidas and (somehow) Skechers are all thriving, although Nike’s bottom-end is apparently struggling due to weak Jordan Brand and Converse sales.

But that’s enough of the company jargon. The most interesting part of Powell’s report is the 10 best-selling sneaker models. Some you’ll be familiar with, but others are shopping mall cruisers and dad-joggers, the unattractive GRs providing brands with the fuel injection needed to give us our colabs and technology.

In no particular order, these are the US’s best-selling sneakers for Q3 based on dollar sales.
