Ex-Dior Footwear Designer Thibo Denis Confirms Move to Louis Vuitton
Footwear designer Thibo Denis has announced that he will be leaving . Denis was named Head of Men's Footwear back in 2017, but joined the luxury label as a senior shoe designer in 2015. Over his tenure, Denis worked closely with Dior Homme Creative Director , and together the duo managed to merge the worlds of sneakers and luxury fashion. Denis can also be credited with spearheading some monumental sneaker moments, including the ultra-luxe colab.
Denis didn’t initially study fashion, but he has admitted to being interested in footwear from a young age, growing up on silhouettes like the , and the . The latter he found particularly inspiring, calling the model a ‘perfect canvas’ to experiment with. After segueing into footwear design in 2008, Denis cut his teeth at KRISVANASSCHE, and also went on to consult for Fendi in addition to working at Dior.
