This Nike Air Huarache Brings a Message of ‘Peace, Love, Swoosh’

In addition to starting sneakerheads young by creating their classics in children’s sizes, Nike are also bringing positive messages of ‘Peace, Love, Swoosh’ with their latest Air Huarache GS drop. This colourway starts with a familiar ‘Orca’ base before adding some colourful details as a point of distinction.

Kids’ sneakers can often get away with being more fun and, at times, nonsensical with their themes. This Huarache exercises that right with its mismatched coloured accents, which see the bootie lining and quarter accent highlighted in teal, paired up to a translucent gold heel strap on the right shoe. And the left side sees magenta accents with a lime green strap. In a way, these two combos are somewhat reminiscent of the OG ‘Resin’ and ‘Magenta’ Huarache colourways respectively.

Elsewhere, this Huarache’s unique ‘Peace, Love, Swoosh’ detail is found on the lateral heel strap, the symbols depicted in cartoony hand-drawn style, which is repeated on the insole graphics. Finally, the colours of these symbols are splashed across the Huarache tongue logo, seemingly at random.
